Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Medicare Supplement Plan policyholders in Colorado will be able to participate in SilverSneakers — an exercise program for older Americans — at no additional cost.
Effective Jan. 1, Coloradans covered through Anthem's Medicare Supplement Plans A, F and N will receive the coverage. Program features include specialized group exercise classes, access to SilverSneakers facilities and the SilverSneakers FLEX network, which provides classes at community-based locations.
"SilverSneakers Fitness is a great program for members to either get started, or to continue with, a physical activity regimen. The value-added program provides a variety of fitness options and social activities for developing new peer groups and friends," Josh Martin, president of Anthem Medicare's west region, said in a prepared statement.
