AHA Asks Hospitals to Participate in Medicare RAC Survey

The American Hospital Association is asking hospitals to submit data to its RACTrac survey, which the AHA conducts quarterly to assess how Medicare recovery audit contractors affect hospitals. AHA created the web-based survey because of the lack of data from CMS concerning the impact RACs have on providers, according to the RACTrac website.

Since 2010, AHA has collected data from more than 2,000 hospitals. The organization uses the findings to reduce RAC vulnerabilities in hospitals and inform CMS and Congress about needed changes.

The survey is available through Oct. 11. To register for the survey, interested hospitals should contact should contact RACTrac support at (888) 722-8712 or ractracsupport@providercs.com.
