Aetna to reaffirm FY 2016 net income per share: 4 things to know

Health insurer Aetna expects to reaffirm its projected fiscal year 2016 income per share of $6.28 to $6.48, Reuters reports.

Here are 4 things to know about Aetna’s FY 2016 projections.

1. The Hartford, Conn.-based insurer expects to reaffirm its FY 2016 operating earnings per share projection of $7.90 to $8.10.

2. Thomson Reuters estimates the insurer’s FY 2016 earnings per share view is $8.05.

3. The insurer will experience net realized capital gains or losses post-June 30. 

4. However, Aetna cannot predict future gain or loss amounts post-June 30. The insurer has assumed no net realized capital gains or losses post-June 30.
