1. UC Health, UnitedHealthcare resolve part of contract dispute
Cincinnati-based UC Health and health insurer UnitedHealthcare agreed on a contract covering 20,000 UnitedHealthcare customers who get health insurance through their employers. However, they were not able to reach a new deal covering 5,000 older and disabled customers who use UnitedHealthcare's Medicare Advantage plan.
2. UnitedHealthcare and Erlanger Health System sign new multi-year contract
UnitedHealthcareand Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Erlanger Health System signed a new multi-year contract.
3. UnitedHealthcare to pay set rate for cancer treatment in new pilot
Health insurer UnitedHealthcare haslaunched a pilot to try a cancer care bundled payment model with the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
4. UPMC bars 700 physicians from Highmark Medicare Advantage plans
UPMC will not allow 689 of its physicians to participate in Highmark Medicare Advantage plans after the Pittsburgh-based insurer terminated their contracts.
5. Grady Memorial ends BCBS contract
Atlanta-based Grady Memorial Hospital left the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia network due to a contract dispute.
