4 recent acquisitions involving UnitedHealth

Here are four companies that have recenlty agreed to a transaction with UnitedHealth Group:

1. UnitedHealth snatched up Epic Hearing, which manages insurance benefits for a Swiss hearing aid manufacturer, March 30, according to the Star Tribune.

2. UnitedHealthcare, the insurance arm of UnitedHealth, will acquire Peoples Health, a Metairie, La.-based Medicare Advantage plan, for an undisclosed amount, according to The New Orleans Advocate.

3. UnitedHealth’s Optum is one of two companies involved in a $2.2 billion acquisition of a Tacoma, Wash.-based physician-staffing company from Fresenius, according to the Star Tribune.

4. UnitedHealth’s Optum unit closed its $28 million purchase of Worcester, Mass.-based Reliant Medical Group, telegram.com reports.
