39% of health plans don't provide price transparency tool, survey says

Thirty-nine percent of health plan members said their insurer does not provide a cost predictor, according to a HealthMine survey.

The January 2017 survey included responses from 750 consumers with sponsored health plans. Data was collected through an opt-in panel.

An additional 38 percent of consumers said their insurer offered a digital tool to help predict the cost of physician visits, while 37 percent said the same for prescription drugs.
