The Kansas City affiliate filed a lawsuit in July alleging that GS Labs created $9.2 million in inflated claims, to which the lab answered with a countersuit. GS Labs initially called Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City’s lawsuit a “naked attempt to bully our company.”
The Premera Blue Cross lawsuit, filed Oct. 14, alleges that GS Labs “subjects patients to expensive and medically unnecessary testing.” The lawsuit also targets testing accuracy.
