10 states with the highest, lowest average premium increases

Monthly premiums will rise by an average 25 percent for 2017 individual plans sold on HealthCare.gov, HHS data revealed Oct. 24.

On average, second-lowest cost silver plans sold on HealthCare.gov will jump from $242 to $302 before tax credits. However, the average increase in premium tax credit is 62 percent, meaning average monthly premiums for the silver plans would be $142. Tax credits are available for individuals between 100 percent and 400 percent of the federal poverty level.

Below are the top 10 states with the highest and lowest premium increases and corresponding tax credit increases.

2. Oklahoma: 69 percent
