Five positions were cut as the services were eliminated. The hospital said it’s centralizing the services to the outpatient lab at UPMC Horizon-Greenville to cut down on duplication and to maintain patient access.

“It’s our hope that the affected employees will all land in an open UPMC position within our region,” UPMC Horizon-Greenville said in a statement to WFMJ. “Our human resources team is working closely with each of them to support their transitions.”
