Texas hospital reopens ED after 3-year closure

Texas Rural Hospital in Cleveland, formerly Cleveland Regional Medical Center, reopened its emergency department on Wednesday, which had been shuttered for three years, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Texas Rural Hospital COO Pattie Foster told the Houston Chronicle reopening the ED and three inpatient beds is the first phase of a multistep project that involves adding more inpatient beds and offering more services at the facility.

Cleveland Regional Medical Center unexpectedly closed in August 2014 after struggling for years to remain open, according to the Cleveland Advocate
