The Penn Yan, N.Y.-based hospital will continue to operate the unit during the review process, though it services an average of two patients per day. If closed, the hospital would continue to offer outpatient behavioral healthcare through the John D. Kelly Center.

Finger Lakes Health is also looking to close the acute rehabilitation unit at Geneva (N.Y.) General Hospital.
