The alleged incident occurred after a 43-year-old woman with pneumonia called 911 April 8. The patient claims the paramedic riding with her in the ambulance, 36-year-old Karel Delgado, asked if he could examine her before inappropriately touching her and exposing himself, according to police.

The patient reported the incident upon her arrival to the hospital. Police charged Mr. Delgado with a criminal sex act, sex abuse and forcible touching, and FDNY suspended him without pay pending an investigation.
