BayCare Health System secures $300k grant to implement Uber transportation services

Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare Health System has received $300,000 in grant funding from the Florida Blue Foundation.

With this funding, BayCare Health System will establish a partnership with Uber Technologies. The partnership will provide to low-income post-acute patients with access to non-emergency transportation services for their follow-up care.

This $30,000 award is one of 10 grants the Florida Blue Foundation has announced, all of which total $2.5 million in funding for innovative health solutions directed at underserved populations.
