Stamford (Conn.) Health has launched a maternal health partnership with midwife-led maternity care provider Oula.
The partnership marks a first for both organizations, with Stamford offering midwifery services and Oula entering the Connecticut market, according to a March 13 news release from the health system.
The new practice will be called Oula provided by Stamford Health. The practice will open two new maternity clinics through the partnership, with the first opening in Norwalk, Conn., later this year.
Patients will see midwives and OB-GYNs at the new clinics and delivery will take place at Stamford Hospital, the release said.
