Ms. Hughes has established a record of sustainable growth in a tough economic climate. She leads and empowers her staff by building collaborative physician relationships and identifying and creating operational efficiencies. Ms. Hughes has been a major contributor to attaining the Medical Center’s goals for clinical quality, employee satisfaction and physician loyalty. Under her leadership, the Medical Center established Will County’s first comprehensive NeuroSciences program, which is one of the top programs in Illinois according to HealthGrades.
Ms. Hughes joined Provena after serving as executive vice president and COO of Elliot Health System in Manchester, N.H. She has also served in leadership roles at Optima Healthcare in Manchester, Loyola University Health System in Maywood, Ill., and West Suburban Hospital Medical Center in Oak Park, Ill.
New Hampshire Business Review recognized Ms. Hughes as an Outstanding Women in Business in 2006. She currently serves on the board of the Will Grundy Free Clinic and United Way Capital Committee.
