Mr. Obama stopped by the hospital Dec. 19, meeting with patients and participating in art projects with children. He recorded a video for patients he was not able to visit, a Children’s spokesperson said.

“We had a chance to talk to some of the wonderful kids and their families,” Mr. Obama told a crowd in the hospital.
