Zimmer Biomet CEO joins Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation board

Zimmer Biomet CEO Ivan Tornos joined the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation board, according to a May 29 news release.

Mr. Tonos joined Zimmer Biomet in 2018 as group president and was promoted to president and CEO in 2023. He was then elected to Zimmer Biomet’s board chair in 2025.

“Now more than ever, it’s important we move with a sense of urgency and deep purpose to ensure that musculoskeletal research advances at a much faster pace and delivers even bolder solutions,” Mr. Tornos said in the release. “There are countless patients currently waiting on the sidelines who could benefit from the meaningful work that we will do together, and I’m committed to doing all I can to reduce the current gaps in this area.”
