St. Joseph Hospital (Orange, Calif.). Orthopedic surgeons on staff at St. Joseph Hospital performed Orange County’s first artificial hip, total knee and elbow replacement surgeries. Today, surgeons at the 379-bed general medical and surgical facility perform more than 1,000 hip and knee replacements and 900 spinal surgeries annually. It was rated a high performing hospital for knee and hip replacement by U.S. News & World Report in its common care ratings for 2016-17. St. Joseph Hospital is also a Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.
