Four key points:
1. The practice opened in Crozet Family Medicine Center under the name Sentara Martha Jefferson Orthopedics West.
2. Orthopedic specialists at the practice will offer hand and wrist services, including treatments for carpal tunnel, arthritis and tendonitis.
3. It is Sentara Martha Jefferson Orthopedics’ third location. The other two are in Charlottesville.
4. Sentara opened the facility to improve access and convenience for patients.
“To adequately serve a community as large and spread out as Charlottesville and its surrounding areas, we needed to expand our outpatient presence to improve access to our specialists,” said orthopedic surgeon Gregory Degnan, MD. “The Western region, certainly one of our fastest growing areas, deserves convenient access to our specialty services.”
