PNC Financial Services Group’s former president, Joseph Guyaux, has donated $3 million to Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network, with a portion earmarked for its orthopedic program, according to an April 28 report from NBC affiliate WPXI.

Mr. Guyaux and his wife, Kathleen, have spent years giving back as philanthropists in the community.

Before retiring, Mr. Guyaux spent 44 years at PNC and he currently sits on the board of AHN and its parent company, Highmark Health.

About $1 million of the donation will go to the AHN Orthopaedic Institute, supplementing the Banman-Lupke Patrick J. DeMeo chair of orthopedic surgery, while the rest will be split between the AHN Neuroscience Institute and the AHN Cardiovascular Institute.
