Physician-Owned Hospital in Texas to Open at End of Month

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Flower Mound (Texas), a joint venture between 80 physicians and Texas Health Partners, a 12-hospital system in Arlington, Texas, is expected to open at the end of the month, according to a report by the Cross Timbers Gazette.

Orthopedic Surgeon Michael Hisey, MD, chairman of the 100-bed hospital’s board of managers, recently attended the inaugural medical staff meeting.

Oncologist Dennis Costa, MD, was named chairman of the department of medicine and General Surgeon Ralph Parker, MD, was named chairman of the department of surgery.
