In 2010, physicians at the Orthopedic Joint Care Center at Ocala Regional Medical Center performed the most joint replacement surgeries in the region and the sixth most hip replacements and knee replacements in the state. The center has received The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for its knee, hip and spine programs. It is also a Blue Distinction Center+ for knee and hip replacements and spine surgery. Ocala Regional Medical Center was named one of CareChex’s top 100 hospitals for orthopedic surgery for 2014. In addition, the hospital received the Orthopedic Surgery Excellence Award and the Spine Surgery Excellence Award from Healthgrades this year.
