Novant Health Charlotte (N.C.) Orthopedic Hospital.
The Charlotte Orthopedic Hospital, part of Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, was founded in 1976 and is the region’s only orthopedic hospital. The hospital is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and is a Blue Distinction Center+ for knee and hip replacements. It is also designated as a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Charlotte Orthopedic Hospital was also ranked among the top 5 percent of hospitals in the country for surgical care measures by CMS. In April 2012, the hospital received approval to build a 64-bed replacement facility, which is expected to be complete in 2016.
