•    Percentage of neurologists who made $500,000 or more:  2 percent
•    Percentage of neurologists who made $100,000 or less:  21 percent
•    Mean annual compensation of male neurologists:  $198,000
•    Mean annual compensation of female neurologists:  $160,000
•    Highest-paying region:  Southeast ($209,000)
•    Lowest-paying region:  Southwest ($155,000)
•    Mean compensation of hospital-employed neurologists:  $150,000
•    Mean compensation of multispecialty group practice neurologists:  $227,000
