Lakeland Medical Center, St. Joseph (Mich.). Lakeland Medical Center is one of three in the St. Joseph-based nonprofit community-owned system, Lakeland Health. Lakeland Medical Center is among the CareChex top 100 hospitals in the nation for orthopedic care for 2017. It is a Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacement and earned five stars from Healthgrades in 2016 for total knee replacement. The hospital is also certified by The Joint Commission in both hip and knee replacement. Lakeland Medical Center offers patients a dedicated orthopedic renewal center, outfitted with private rooms and staffed with specially trained nurses. It also offers the Total Joint Camp for postsurgical individual and group physical therapy.
