Co-chief of sports medicine and shoulder service at Hospital for Special Surgery and Senior Vice President for educational and academic affairs Laura Robbins participated in the initial phase of opening the first orthopedic specialty hospital in Rio de Janeiro, Mexico.

Hospital for Special Surgery partnered with Brazilian managed healthcare provider Amil Par to open Hospitalys, which will specialize in joint replacement, sports medicine and spinal disorders.
