Geisinger (Danville, Pa.). Geisinger’s 17 neurosurgeons provide care to more than 3.3 million patients across 43 counties in Pennsylvania. The health system partners with the Pacific Business Group on Health, a nonprofit business coalition of 60 healthcare purchaser members, to provide care at Geisinger Medical Center through the Employers Center of Excellence Network. As a result, Geisinger provides spine and neurosurgery care to the associates from several Fortune 100 companies as well as Walmart, JetBlue and Lowe’s. Geisinger is also known for pioneering innovative patient experience initiatives, such as a patient refund policy known as ProvenExperience. Launched in November 2015 for the spine and bariatric care lines, the program allows patients to request a refund if they were unhappy with their care.
