The center occupies an exclusive wing in the hospital and features 33 large private rooms for orthopedic patients. Patients across both hospitals maintain an average length of stay of approximately 0.88 days. Penrose-St. Francis Medical Center’s orthopedics department also maintains an accelerated recovery program for total knee replacement and a fracture liaison service.
