The goal of the agreement is to reduce expenses, increase productivity and save time for orthopedic practices for the AAOS’ nearly 38,000 members worldwide. Medline will provide its products at a 10 to 30 percent discount to AAOS members and offer members access to its more than 250 CME courses through Medline University at no additional cost, according to a news release.
Medline, headquartered in Mundelein, Ill., has more than 40 distribution centers in the U.S. and offers quality assurance programs as well as clinical solutions on pressure ulcer reduction, continence management, falls prevention and other areas, according to the news release.
“Our goal is to be transparent in our relationships with our clients on pricing, product alternatives and more efficient ways to purchase supplies,” said John Kenny, vice president of corporate sales of the physician office division of Medline. “By leveraging AAOS’ business expertise, we are driving the relationship forward with providers across the country.”
