11 hospitals, health systems using new orthopedic devices

Here are 11 hospitals and health systems that have adopted new orthopedic surgery devices and technology:

Dublin (Ohio) Methodist Hospital introduced Stryker’s Mako robotic-arm-assisted knee replacement technology.

An orthopedic surgeon at New York City-based NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital performed the 10,000th case using Intellijoint Surgical’s flagship product.

University of California San Diego Health is the state’s first healthcare system to deploy Medtronic’s Mazor X Stealth Edition System.

Rexburg, Idaho-based Madison Memorial Hospital adopted the Navio Surgical System in late 2018, according to EastIdahoNews.com.

UnityPoint Health-Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, Ill., installed the Mazor X Stealth Edition Spinal Robot.

The first U.S. procedures using Medtronic’s Mazor X Stealth Edition were performed at Louisville, Ky.-based Norton Healthcare and Reston (Va.) Hospital Center.

Dunes Surgical Hospital in Dakota Dunes, S.D., installed Medtronic’s Mazor X for spine surgery.

Jonesboro, Ark.-based NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital introduced Smith & Nephew’s Navio Robotic Surgery System for total knee replacements.

Ithaca, N.Y.-based Cayuga Medical Center added Smith & Nephew’s Navio surgical system for knee replacement surgery.

An orthopedic surgeon at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, N.Y., performed one of the first procedures using Exactech’s InterSep calcium sulfate bone void filler.
