Texas Children’s Hospital (Houston). U.S. News & World Report ranked Texas Children’s Hospital in the top 50 nationally in all 10 of its ranked pediatric specialties, naming it No. 2 for pediatric neurology and neurosurgery for 2015-16. The hospital’s pediatric neurological surgery service is one of the nation’s largest, where surgeons perform nearly 1,000 surgeries and see more than 2,500 outpatients each year. Texas Children’s Hospital is home to the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute, which opened in 2010. It is the world’s first basic research institute dedicated to childhood neurological diseases, according to Texas Children’s.
