Columbus, Ohio-based OhioHealth is launching an $8.5 million renovation of the operating suite at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton, Ohio.
The project will modernize two operating rooms and aesthetically enhance two other OR suites, one of which will become a future procedural room and the other sterile storage. Expanded recovery bays, updated locker rooms and a new dictation station are also included in the redesign.
OhioHealth said the upgrades are intended to improve infrastructure for surgeon recruitment and retention, while supporting ongoing surgical operations throughout the construction timeline. The work will not disrupt patient care.
Construction will begin in March and is expected to be completed in early 2027.
OhioHealth comprises 35,000 associates, physicians and volunteers across a network of 16 hospitals, five joint-venture hospitals and more than 200 ambulatory sites in a 50-county area.
