HCA’s St. Lucie Medical Center in Florida Plans ED Expansion

St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie, Fla., a member of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA, has begun a capital project to support an emergency department expansion and renovation project, according to a TC Palm report.

The project will add more than 10,000 square feet, six treatment rooms, three trauma rooms and an isolation room to the existing 6,000-square-foot facility.

Construction will begin later this year and is expected to be completed in the fall of 2013.
