The $15 million project added approximately 45,000 square feet to the original 11,000-square-foot facility. The extra space is designed to accommodate an increased patient volume: the hospital currently serves 7,000 patients annually, but expects to treat 16,000 patients annually after the expansion. The hospital is also doubling its staff from about 40 to 80 people.
In addition to expanding its space, the hospital also expanded its services, including behavioral health therapy services, colonoscopy and other gastrointestinal services and specialist services, among others.
The expansion also allows Bellin Health Family Medical Center-Oconto (Wis.), which will now be called Bellin Health Oconto Clinic, to move into the hospital.
