Surgeons, OR nurses and other staff learned to perform minimally-invasive, single-incision surgery procedures in the back of a tractor trailer that included six OR stations, a lecture hall and simulated ORs. The traveling training facility, by Covidien, came to North Shore University Hospital as part of its “Innovation Tour” that highlights a single-incision laparoscopic procedure system.
