Detroit Receiving Hospital Breaks Ground on $8M OR Expansion

Detroit Receiving Hospital, part of Detroit Medical Center, is breaking ground on an $8 million operating room expansion project, according to a Detroit News report.

The 9,300-square-foot facility will include three new operating rooms, eight new post-operative spaces and updates to existing pre- and post-op areas. Construction is expected to be completed this fall.

DMC will begin a project later this year to renovate patient rooms in the hospital and add seven more post-op areas.
