Average OR Management Salaries Increase to More Than $83k in 2011

Average operating room management salaries have increased from $75,310 in 2010 to $83,952 in 2011, according to a Healthcare Purchasing News survey.

The 2011 OR Management Salary Survey includes responses from OR directors/managers, perioperative services directors/managers, surgical services directors/managers and other members of OR management. The highest earners were OR administrators/administrative directors, who represented 2 percent of respondents, at $125,000. Surgical instruments coordinators, which accounted for 4 percent of respondents, earned the lowest salary at $42,500.
