President Trump makes an annual presidential salary of $400,000, which means his donation to the agency will be $100,000. During his presidential campaign, President Trump said he would donate any money he made serving as US President to charity.
“His decision to donate his salary is a tribute to his compassion, to his patriotism and his sense of duty to the American people,” acting HHS Secretary Eric Hargan said Thursday during a press briefing, according to STAT.
