President Trump direct Mr. Sessions to file a separate lawsuit, instead of joining the other 800 lawsuits already filed against drug manufacturers.
He also urged Mr. Sessions to focus on opioids entering the U.S. from China and Mexico, saying the countries are “sending their garbage and killing our people,” according to STAT.
It is not clear if or when the federal lawsuit will be filed.
