Price praises China for help with opioid crisis

During a visit to China Monday, HHS Secretary Tom Price praised the nation for its help battling the opioid crisis in the U.S., calling the nation "an incredible partner," according to ABC News.

With many of the world's strongest synthetic opioids manufactured in China, Mr. Price lauded the nation's willingness to cooperate when U.S. regulators call for production stoppages due to domestic abuse of a drug.

"When a particular drug is identified as being a problem, China has been an incredible partner in helping to stop the production of drugs like fentanyl in China," Mr. Price said.

Just last month, China banned the production of four drugs, including U-47700, after continued U.S. lobbying.
