Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center Breaks Ground on Cancer Center

Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center in Fredericksburg, Va., has broken ground on a new cancer center, according to a report by The Free Lance-Star.

The center is a joint venture between Richmond-based HCA Virginia Health System, SRMC’s parent company, and Virginia Commonwealth University Massey Cancer Center in Richmond.

HCA will own 51 percent of the business, according to the report. Specialists from VCU Massey Cancer Center will work at the new center, and SRMC will supply the clerical and nursing staff.
