Westchester Medical Center (Valhalla, N.Y.). The Cancer Center at Westchester Medical Center has a full three-year accreditation with commendation as a Teaching Hospital Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. It was the first center in the region to have the first full-service radiation medicine program, is accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy and is one of only a handful of programs in the state approved by the National Marrow Donor Program. This year, the hospital received the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Commission on Cancer.
