SwedishAmerican Health System, UW Health Build $39M Cancer Center in Illinois

Rockford, Ill.-based SwedishAmerican Health System is constructing a $39 million cancer center in Rockford, in collaboration with Madison-based University of Wisconsin Health, according to a Rockford Register Star report.

The center will house diagnostic imaging, radiation therapy, medical oncology and pharmacy services.

The center’s patients will also have access to clinical trials offered by the UW’s Carbone Cancer Center in Madison. The center is expected to open in October, according to the report.
