Staten Island U Hospital taps new chair of radiation oncology 

Staten Island (N.Y.) University Hospital appointed Chika Madu, MD, its new chair of radiation oncology, silive.com reported March 31.

"Dr. Madu is a national leader in the field of radiation," said Brahim Ardolic, MD, executive director of the hospital. "Her expertise, experience and leadership will help bring an already exceptional department to even greater heights in caring for our patients, advancing research and training the next generation of clinicians and scientists." 

Dr. Madu joined the hospital as an attending physician in radiation medicine in 2015. She currently serves in various leadership roles, including chair of the cancer committee and chair of the quality management committee for radiation medicine.
