North Shore-LIJ Creates New Center for Skin Cancers

Great Neck, N.Y.-based North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System has established the Center for Melanoma and Rare Skin Cancers.

Part of the North Shore-LIJ Cancer Institute, the Center will offer multidisciplinary care — including surgical treatment, radiation and medical oncology — for the diagnosis and treatment of complex and rare skin cancers. The Center will use a team approach and will also perform skin cancer research. 

Mansoor Beg, MD, a surgical oncologist, has been named chief of the Center.
