Nebraska Medicine (Omaha).Nebraska Medicine is the only Blue Distinction Center for Complex & Rare Cancers in the state. The Fred and Pamela Buffet Cancer Center at UNMC became a National Cancer Institute-designated Cancer Center in 1999. Notable cancer research conducted at the center includes work on lymphoma and bone marrow transplantation, pancreatic cancer and breast cancer.
