Nebraska Medicine (Omaha). The Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center at UNMC is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Cancer Center in the state. The center is a founding member of the National Comprehensive Care Network and is also a member of the Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium. In addition to being a Blue Distinction Center for Complex & Rare Cancers, the hospital is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
