Philadelphia-based Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, part of Jefferson Health, joined Caris' Precision Oncology Alliance, according to a May 14 announcement.
The group now includes 50 cancer centers and academic institutions working to advance precision medicine in oncology through comprehensive cancer profiling. POA members also work to develop standards of care for molecular testing in oncology.
Alliance member institutions have access to a large database and artificial intelligence platform used to develop evidence-based standards for cancer profiling and molecular testing, according to a news release.
