Georgetown’s Cancer Center Gets $75k Award for Pediatric Screening Initiative

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital’s Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center in Washington, D.C., has been awarded $75,000 by Hyundai Hope on Wheels for an innovative cancer screening initiative for pediatric patients, according to a WUSA report.

The Clinical Psychosocial Distress Screening Initiative, developed by Aziza T. Shad, MD, facilitates early identification of psychological stress in pediatric cancer patients and their families, according to the report.
