Resolution 2012-051, which will be up for a vote on Tuesday, would approve a sublease between CPH and RBS Evolution, Dr. Halligan’s medical management company, for 20 years of cancer treatment on the hospital’s campus, according to the report. CPH and Dr. Halligan plan to break ground on the center in August and open the facility next April.

Originally, the hospital proposed a cancer center on the hospital’s campus and Dr. Halligan proposed a center off campus. Now, the groups have agreed on one center that would be run by Dr. Halligan’s independent practice in an on-campus space leased by the hospital. CPH plans to further expand cancer services in two or three years with the addition of a medical office building, a larger infusion center and a cancer resource and research center.
